Vacancy Short Description: An exciting apprenticeship opportunity for a keen cyclist. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to clients and also support with administration for the business
Vacancy Description:
Your duties will include, but may not be limited to:
80% of your time will be spent undertaking courier duties including:
· Delivering and Collecting Mail
· Working as part of a team to deliver service in a timely manner
· Engaging with clients and customers
· Problem solving
· Networking in order to promote the brand
The remaining 20% will be spent undertaking administrative duties including:
· Dealing with enquiries via telephone and email
· General administrative duties including filing and photocopying
· Undertaking other duties as requested by manager/mentor

Training to be provided:
You will receive specific on the job training from the employer in your work place. Off the job training will be provided by Achievement Training in the following areas:
· QCF Diploma in Customer Service
· Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
· Functional Skills in English and Maths
The training will be provided through a series of on and off the job observations and input tutorials.
Skills Required:
· Good cycling ability
· Good understanding of the Highway Code
· Confident in delivering good customer service
· Able to work both as a team and independently
· Ability to use own initiative
Personal Qualities:
· Polite and friendly to both customers and colleagues
· Professional manner
· Reliable and punctual
· Flexibility in order to support a small and fast growing business
· Good sense of humour
Qualifications Required:
There are no specific entry requirements for the apprenticeship, however due to the nature of the written work required in order to complete your qualification, a reasonable level of literacy would be advantageous
Other Important Information:
You are required to supply your own bicycle and helmet for this role.
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £2.65 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over, in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies.
Future Prospects:
On completion of the apprenticeship, progression routes may include undertaking a permanent role within the company.
